Sometimes it just takes that one little thing to get you moving. Have you ever found that? A comment from someone or a feeling you have that makes you feel like a change is needed. It’s not always negative either. Sometimes it can be something innocuous, but it affects you. How do you normally deal with it? For me, it’s still that Run from Sunday and the feeling I had from the shirt. That fire is burning inside again. Not because society says that I am overweight or anything like that, but because of how I felt. I would be very interested to hear other opinions. So for the third day in a Row (which might be a record) I laced up and got out again. Knowing that anything I did tonight would have to be at a very light pace and not over 5KM. I racked up, 4.18KM in 33m00s burning 585 calories. A few big hills and some interesting terrain kept it from being boring. There is something a little terrifying and exciting about getting out early in the morning or late at night. That’s especially true if you leave your glasses at home (to prevent fog up). There is always the runners fear that you will cross paths with something unpleasant (i.e. a skunk). I had a close call… with a bunny.
I’m happy that I got out. My body has been cooperative and I will definitely give it a rest tomorrow. That doesn’t mean I won’t be active, just that it will be about the full recovery. Lots of water, protein and doing very little.
Have a good night…

Bernie! I can relate to the feeling with the shirt. I’ve had that feeling with wardrobe too, but what for me into CrossFit was not being able to move well or feel strong in my body. Action is the best cure for unhappiness though, so well done on the hat trick!! Your 5km time is solid!!
Thanks Jenny!
This has been good motivation and I’ve been out for over 17K this week. As long as I can keep the momentum and nothing breaks I feel like it will be a step in the right direction. How are you feeling about your movements and strength now? I hope you are feeling better about both.
Hope you have a good long weekend!
