C’mon guys… This is going somewhere really neat! @JessyR1978 sent me a photo of her medal from this year’s race (I posted it) and I thought it was so awesome I inquired about the 2019 edition. She has promptly sent me the registration info for next year. Turns out registration opens on August 28th for the virtual half marathon and you have from January 3rd to March 31st 2019 to get it done. Upon completion you get sent a shiny, super cool Star Wars medal!

But it’s so far…
Now I know I said that I was never running another distance over 10K, but I have to be honest, I’m really missing running. There is something about getting out at first light to get some miles (or KM’s since we are north of the border). Aside from an unusual fear of skunks that has developed, there is absolutely nothing better. Just you and the sound of your feet pounding the pavement (music optional). The idea of running 13.1 miles doesn’t really scare me anymore (Chicago took care of that) and I even bounced around the idea of doing the NY Marathon (at some point much farther into the future).
So the question is, “Are You In?”…
