Welcome back to the GoodLife. Well that’s what I would be saying if I was
happy to be here first thing in the morning.
I’m coming off the bike on the normal Monday evening so my legs are a
little rubbery tonight. It’s a good
thing that today is a chest and arm day, because I’m pretty sure I would have
sat in the parking lot until it was time to go to work.
Now Day Seventeen finds me in an unusual place, as I’m
getting concerned/bored/unsure of my strategy during my weight and cardio
sessions. I feel pretty good with the
amount of time I’m putting in, but I am starting to get a little concerned with
the intensity level. My treadmill
sessions are in the neighborhood of 3.8 miles/hour (which is a good speed
walking pace), but I haven’t gone higher than 4MPH because I’m worried about
the stress on my right ankle. I’m finding that by the time I get to day three
or four of the week, the ankle/foot are starting to get tender.

This has been the hardest week so far this month. I might be stretching a bit when it comes to
home much I’m working out, but I feel that it’s important to go as hard as
possible. My body may not thank me right
now, but in the long run, I think it will be a worthwhile (albeit painful)
investment. As long as I can keep the
wheels from falling off, I should be ok.
