This morning only happened because I was bitter. I was going to call it a week, but then pride took over and I wanted to hit four workouts this week. Isn’t it supposed to get easier at some point? I mean I remember back when I was working out “hard-core” (please use air quotes when you read out hard-core. It also was the time when I was working out four or five days a week, working heavy cardio and weights), it used to be easy. Get up, throw on a hoodie, let the dog out, have breakfast, get dressed, grab the workout bag and out the door. No fuss (unless I had to clear snow) and no muss.
There was no trouble today getting (or keeping for that matter) the heart rate up for the whole session. My average BPM was 136 with my max topping out at 167. The total calories burned was 606.5 and just for shits and giggles, 5,654 strides. Now once the session was done, I threw down 2 sets of 15 @ 20lbs on the old bicep curls and 2 sets of 15 @ 20lbs doing shoulder press. Now these weight sessions seem to be after thoughts, but right now I am focusing on getting my cardio up and dealing with the weight training later.
