That’s right Ladies and Gents, the long awaited new road bike is a done deal. Thanks to Peter and the good folks at Wheels of Bloor, I am now the proud owner of a Argon 18 Radon (Canadian Made!!). This is the start of the training… I can’t wait to get out on the roads! There are a couple of sweet rides I can’t wait for, Wasaga and the area around Brantford spring to mind…
So I got back from the adventure to Bloor and Runnymeade, which is really farther than it looks… I got back, made myself from dinner and was lounging around feeling tired when the feeling of guilty swept over me. Not just the feeling that I would be letting down my loyal blog readers, but also the grief I would get from my P90X partner Mark. So I yelled at myself, got dressed and hopped on Spritz.
I put on the latest episode of Castle and started hammering away. It was a really spirited session, averaging 91 RPM and a BPM of 156. At the end of my 42 minutes I had logged a leisurely 22.57KM… Not too bad eh? That puts me over 100KM for the month of March. I have started to experience some tightness in my calves while riding so my masseuse has given me a list of exercises to do once I’m done riding. Calf stretches, hamstring stretches, quad stretches and a finale of hip flexors stretches…
I’m headed north the cottage tomorrow so it will be a laid back kind of weekend, but I am hoping to get Day 4 Yoga in either Saturday or Sunday (in all honesty I hate that session, but those are the rules) and then maybe a little run or at the very least a brisk walk…
Have a good weekend,
Beez
