The unicorn did not survive this week. Here’s what happened on the way home…
IT moved today from 50U to 1450 Birchmount, so the day was filled with lots of lifting and moving of very geeky (yet highly essential) technical equipment. By 3pm I had a splitting headache and I was very, very sleepy. 5 bells rolls around and I headed home, thinking spin, eat and bed. I get to the Yonge off ramp I get a call from Hammer and get invited for dinner (homemade pizza). The dinner was healthy (whole wheat shells, peppers, onions and turkey kolbasa), but the two Coors Lights. I get home with the full intention of spinning. It was still early, not even 9:00pm. Well, that was the end of the night, I went to bed.
So tonight I get home, make a healthy dinner and get ready for a session with Spritz. Now it was a late night session tonight with the plan for an early one tomorrow at the gym. A 45 minute session at 87-90RPM @ 149 BPM (numbers are back down) on the bike (new seat and all) before doing 75 sit-ups on the ball and 30 crunches with legs up on the ball. I did some calf and hamstring stretches because the body is not exactly happy with me. My arms are super tight along the back of the elbow to the shoulder and my hip flexors are ridiculous. Dr. Spin is going to be seriously pissed with me when he gets a hold of me because my body is not in a good place.
Hopefully we will make it a 4/5 week…
