Day Twenty-Three

Ok, so first off I had a comfort food dinner and I am ok
with it (two grilled cheese sandwiches). Second, whatever is going on with my
sleep/wake internal cycle is a bunch of BS and it can go back to normal at any
time. I can live with five minutes before the crack of dawn, but 4am is pushing
it (last couple of days). Normally Monday is my flex day (Spinning either early
or late depending on my mood), but with the early wakeup call and the need to
burn some energy I went to the gym and did the missing leg workout from last
week.

Once this morning’s show got on the road, right on time I might
add, it was business as usual.  My ankle
is still a bit off from whatever has been going on with the weather and the
hard work, but at this point, with only seven days left I simply don’t
care.  Actually don’t care isn’t right,
it is more like I just don’t have time to deal with this weak crap.  So pull on your funderwear (one of the Rock’s
best words ever) and let’s get down to the brass tacks.

Treadmill – 30 minutes, 1.86 miles, 411 calories
Leg Extensions – 5×15 @70lbs ISO
Leg Curls – 5×15 @145lbs
Hip Abduction – 3×30 @250lbs
Hip Adduction – 3×30 @255lbs (didn’t see the 5lb plate until
3 reps in)
Leg Press – 6×20 @270lbs
Recumbent Bike – 35 minutes, 9.5 miles, Random Level 11, 327
calories, 83+ RPM

Lots of reps today with weights that weren’t crazy.  As stated before, I have enough mass in my
legs (from hauling my chucky behind around) so I don’t need to bulk up, just
tone.  Now with the number of activities currently
scheduled this week, I’m not 100% on when I’m going to get a spin in.  It just seems that for the purposes of
logistics, this week might end up being a heavy GoodLife week.
Can I get a drumroll please…

A little louder if you don’t mind, this is good news…

According to the wonderful Weight Watchers scale (currently
located in my kitchen to help remind me to be cognizant of portion size), I am
TEN pounds lighter.  10, diez, dix, tien
or zehn. It doesn’t matter how you want to say it, the first hurdle has been
cleared.  They say the first ten is the
hardest, I disagree (the last 50 are), but you take the small victories where
you can get them.
