Well it’s Saturday am in the big smoke and I didn’t exercise last night because my body said no dice. I slept around the clock… mmm 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep, what a wonder. Today is a big day here as the kiddies from Kitchener are headed in for an all day Harry Potter marathon. Hammer want’s the crash course in HP and the rest of us are going along for the ride. Now figuring there may be some unhealthy eating going on today and maybe a wee bit of boozing (every time someone says Harry…) I woke up and decided that something needed to be done.
I headed down to the pond and started flailing away. Now I may not be Michael Phelps, but I can get from point A to point B with a bit of splashing. So a quick session covering about 300 meters half doing the front crawl/breaststroke and the other half doing a modified backstroke. Geez, you would think with all the biking I have been doing I wouldn’t have been huffing and puffing this badly. I finished up with 15 minutes in the hot tub.
What I have been noticing lately (and it is very disconcerting) is the issues that I am starting to have with my calves cramping up. It’s been brutal and the stupid thing is that it has never been an issue before. Guess it’s off to consult Dr. Spin…
