Well with the gas price drop of 4 cents overnight, I may have to take not only my car but my body to the fuelling station. I woke up this morning after a very rough night of sleep and actually contemplated rolling over and hitting snooze. However, I am newly dedicated to the process of getting healthy so I got out of bed, got dressed and got moving.
This is where the issues started…
About 10 seconds into my time with Spritz V3, I knew that I was in trouble. My legs were jelly and there was nothing left in the tank. My goal as always was a 40 minute+ session at the standard 90 RPM, but I had a tough time even getting there. I was rolling at 82, 78 an 84 for the first few minutes, but I dug deep and gutted it out. When I finally got up to speed I was rolling at 90+ for the remainder of the series. I had an episode of Fringe on (still a great show, even though fox put it in a time slot marking it for death) and tried my best to get to the end, but it was no use, there just wasn’t anything left.
Now before you despair, I will let you know I was ready to call it quits at 12 minutes. I kept plugging away and managed to get to 32 minutes with an average cadence of 89 and a 153 BPM. Total distance travelled was 17.01 KM, which considering how bad I felt was pretty good.
I don’t think P90X is happening tonight unless I get back from Burlington at a decent time. I will try to though. Tomorrow will be a game time decision for spinning but I will get Plyo in. Have a great Wednesday everyone.
