Making Poor Decisions

The Cowlerie…
Wednesday (December 7) – Have you ever had
the chance to do what is right and instead done what was easy? Sure you have.
So have I. We run into these decisions every day. Sounds serious? Sort of. I
had the option to make solid decisions regarding food and instead of doing
something smart, I did things that tasted fantastic and were utterly
ridiculous. Example, look at the solid breakfast. Chocolate cake with a side of
tea. It’s kind of like ordering a Diet Coke to go with your Triple Quarter
Pounder. The burger? Well it was my first time at @HolyChuckBurger and the
order fell out of my mouth before I could stop it. Ugh. Time for some
reprogramming.
Healthy, right?
Warm-up
500m Row
2 Rounds
10 PVC Press/Pass Throughs
10 Squat Jumps
10 Beat Swings
After a day working from the Casa, I got to
join Coach G’s (@girmantitov) 6am class. It felt early for some reason, but it
was good to be there and to be moving. Motivation has been in thin supply for
me the last couple of days and it looks like it will be a fight to get to my
goals. Well, it wouldn’t be worthwhile if it was easy. It would be a nice
change, but not worthwhile.
Every 90s for 5 minutes

Every 90s for 5 minutes

Every 90s for 5 minutes
ME Ring Dips (Purple)
WOD (15 minute CAP)
5 Rounds
5 HSPU (Box)
10 Clean and Jerk (@135lbs)
15 DUs
Today was interesting. The Jerks were
great, but I had trouble controlling the bar behind my neck on the Snatch
Balance. Everything was tight and it stayed that way. Gross. When the WOD
rolled around, my goal was to hit DUs, all of them. I had to use the
Single-Single-Double rhythm, but I got the job done… Eventually. I didn’t
manage to finish under the CAP, but I did finish everything at about 3 minutes
plus.
Aftermath…
Cash-out
6x Sled Push (@195lbs)
A big high five to @KatieAndrien and
@SydGreenberg97 for completing the Sled Pushes with me. They were fun, sort of,
but at least they weren’t Low Bar. We got them done and then it was off for
homework.
BWOD
5 Deficit Pull-ups
Shoulder Mobility
Lat Stretch (Band)
Ankle Mobility (Plate)
Glute Stretch
Pigeon Stretch
Samson Stretch
Hip Stretch
It’s always good to get a workout in, but I
am very disappointed in my nutrition choices. I knew what I was doing. I felt
physically terrible afterwards, but the damage was already done. There isn’t
any point in dwelling on it now, but it is something that needs to be front of
mind. OK, moving on. Get better. Do better.
