So its Black Friday and I wasn’t up at 3:00 am to buy a 40″ Flatscreen LCD TV. It was a close call though and I haven’t ruled it out before the end of the day. That being said morning 2 of training and with the help of multiple alarms I was up and out of the nice warm bed (let’s just say reluctantly out of the warm bed). After a quick check to see whether my Canadian electronics stores had any crazy deals on, I put on the bike shorts and queued up Blue Bloods.
Let me digress for a second. Wow, that is a REALLY good show. Great acting and amazing stories (had our first dead police officer and when her son salutes the Commissioner I almost lost it… Brutal, I’m such a wuss). You need to watch this show (and Fringe), it (they) are the best thing on TV.
Ok, last night I was feeling a little bored so I tried out my new kettlebell. Just some upright rows to try it out (25lb bell) and wow… That thing is pretty cool. Handle makes it easy to manoeuvre and its simple to throw around. This morning, a nice 35 minute session with the Spritz-man. Its interesting how quickly the body remembers and gets back up to speed.
Headed to Brantford tomorrow to play in the BFL and then Denis and I are headed to Kitchener. Going to see Pittsburgh vs. Buffalo on a bus trip (going to be sloppy me thinks). Monday off to clean the condo and setup my Christmas stuff (and workout, once the hangover is gone).
