Mid Week Issues

Last week’s game may have been my worst EVER.

This week, determined to redeem myself in the eyes of my teammates. Game one was much better for me as I went 3-for-3 with a double, 2 runs and 2 RBIs. Not bad. Game 2, the whole team had issues, scoring only 3 runs while I went 1-for-3. So overall it was much better.

However, here’s the issue.

I still haven’t returned to full time fielding duties so I’ve been catching. It still gives me a chance to be in the game without the back and forth to first base. Here’s where it went horribly wrong. I was handing the next batter the team’s bat when I stepped back and stepped into the ditch that was the batter’s box. Holy F#&K! My knee seemed to hyper extend (which has been occurring whenever I miss a step or misjudge height) and it caused unbelievable pain. I stayed in the game after walking it off but, this needs to be looked at… something is not right.

On the plus side, I did make a couple of dashes at near full speed and felt pretty good, but I can’t trust the leg and always have to think about it.
