Getting Up To Speed

Here I am!
Wrap Up Post (November 2 to Today) – SUGAR
RUSH! In the post Halloween sugar coma it was a little rough getting all my
ducks in a row to get caught up. There have been a few WODs, nothing regular,
but there has been some work. I’m going to try and rap it up into one nice
single post. It won’t be a full capture, but this is what’s going to take to up
to date. The goal over the last couple of weeks has been to try and get back on
a regular schedule and we’ve been working pretty hard on eating clean.
MINIONS!!!!!
The first serious workout back was a tough
one. It was an early morning session with the Thursday crew and since it was
nice out, Tavia had us running outside. Wait. It’s November. There’s supposed
to be snow. It was all work, no strength, just all out go, go, go.
WOD
1200m Run
21 Kettlebell Swings (@50lbs)
9 Dumbbell Box Step-ups (2@35lbs)
9 Ring Rows
800m Run
15 Kettlebell Swings
15 Dumbbell Box Step-ups
15 Ring Rows
400m Run
9 Kettlebell Swings
21 Dumbbell Swings
21 Ring Rows
It was a whole lot of running and my body
ached from those weighted step-ups, but I was pretty excited about my pace. It
was not a fast pace, but it was solid and I didn’t stop. The morning air was
brisk and it was an incentive to get my a$$ moving.
In the Village!
@Savannahjessie and escaped the city for a
weekend and it was great to be able to decompress and relax. We went up to Blue
Mountain and visited the Village.  Lots
of walking around, some good food and lots of sleep.  Oh and there were Mimosa’s…
The aforementioned Mimosa!
When we finally made it back to
civilization, we were back in time for Week 9 of Texas and a few more tough
WODs. Now I have missed most of this squatting cycle so my numbers are not
going to be outstanding, but they will be the best I can do.
Every 90s for 6 minutes
5 Back Squat @ 235lbs

Ugly. I started off with 115lbs on the bar,
but only 2 Jerks in I knew that I couldn’t continue. This stupid arm is friggin
pissing me off. So much so that I’ve made an appointment to see Merlin (also
known as Ian from Core Strength). Whatever this is, it isn’t the same as on the
left side and it needs to be looked at.
I still managed to fight through in 18m10s, but it was a straight up
struggle…
So, are you still with me?
I finished off the week with a
Weightlifting session with @CadPro00. It was interesting considering how tight
everything was, but how much better I felt when we were through.  Heavy Snatches for two with ascending
weights.
There you are. Boring? Maybe, but at the
very least we are all caught up…
Stay tuned for tomorrow when we talk about
coming Full Circle…
