New Day, New Stuff

Setting up for something…
Friday (May 22) – Clearly Thursday didn’t happen. It sucks,
but you have to listen to the body. Things are out of alignment and it’s
locking other item up. My only regret with skipping scheduled training days is
the wrench I throw into @savannahjessie’s workout plans. Thanks for being
understanding and accommodating Lady. This morning I wasn’t feeling it, but
with the short week and a workout already missed, it was out the door at early
o’clock for the drive down to the box. We have a busy weekend on deck and this
might be the last chance for a workout of any kind. Get the work in while you
can or like my cousins like to say, “Make hay while the sun shines”.
Warm-up

Yup, today is also going to be difficult. The Lunges were
brutal and I knew that it was only getting worse. Have I mentioned before that
it’s time for a second opinion? Well, it’s also time for a third and a fourth.
This is an untenable situation (do you like what I did there?).  On the endurance component, Coach Z gave us
some great pointers on running and running styles, but they were lost on me
because I am so out of balance. I couldn’t take the pounding and cut my run
short at 7 minutes (3.5 laps).

Burpee Over Bar
Well. Let’s just say that I may have pushed a little hard in
the 11.3 (with Power Cleans) to make up for the hot garbage I had been doing so
far today. I managed to hit 25 reps with a Push Jerk, but I started to really
feel it in my shoulders towards the end. It looks like Mr. Riley’s showdown
will be happening at the end of June as promised. Get ready big dawg. The OHS
and Burpees were not so good. With the mobility restrictions I took forever
getting up and down and only managed to get 3 of 8 Burpees done. It was so
gross.
All I can do is take this week for what it is, shake it off
and get back to work on Monday…
